Tina Thompson is an Okie by choice; after spending her childhood moving around the country, she landed in Oklahoma her senior year of high school and decided to stay. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Central State University (University of Central Oklahoma) in 1986 and has worked in the accounting field ever since. She is currently employed at The American Cancer Society where she is able to bring passion to her work by being part of an organization that exists to help people.
Tina married Bob in 2006 and they have enjoyed raising their children, Marisa (born in 1990) and Robert, who was born 2 years later. They feel very blessed to have grown children who are well adjusted and who truly care about other people.
Tina has always had a desire to help people, especially youth. In the past, she has been a big sister in the Big Brother, Big Sister program and worked many hours on the telephone for Contact Crisis & Suicide Intervention hotline. More recently, she has been involved with Relay for Life & other volunteer opportunities for the American Cancer Society. She has also been involved with the Prague United Methodist youth for several years. Tina is very excited at the opportunity of working with the youth on a regular basis and looks forward to building a special bond with each of them. We can pray together, play together and help people together through worship, camps, fun activities and mission work.
